Our Story

Nestled in the middle of Main Street, Dysart, Iowa, Harper’s Public House boasts a welcoming family-friendly environment, along with some seriously amazing food - from fresh cut and breaded to order pork tenderloins to seasoned crinkle cut fries.

We opened in the summer of 2021. Our community, like many others, had started to open back up after covid. These commnunities all needed places to go and be with each other. Haper’s originally opened with very limited seating at 325 Main Street and quickly figured out we needed more room. In October of 2022, after some late nights and lots of help from really great friends and family, we opened the dining side of the restaurant at 323 Main.

Now starting our 4th year of being open, we have learned some things! We still offer the fresh and elevated bar food. Harper’s still makes our spaces available for people to meet and gather with their family and friends. We still offer a family friendly environment, we LOVE our smallest guests - but we also cater to the adults after 10 pm!

Harper’s feels that Main Street is the life of small towns. We try to hold events that highlight Dysart, and the wonderful people who live here!
